5000 and 5100 Series Clasps Installation Instructions

Some helpful tips when using our findings!

The body, tongue carrier and tongue push are made from the metals ordered, the tongue itself is made from 18kt white gold spring hard. These are soldered into place and care must be taken during installation not to overheat the tongue. Laser assembly or gold solder can be used, but a heatsink during torch work is advised. The safety is fitted with a tapered pin to allow for a tight fit, therefore it only needs to be secured from the tubing side. The safety tension has been adjusted at the time of shipping, but can be changed by gently bending . The safeties are individually fitted, replacement parts may need minor adjustment and fitting for optimum function.  

Remember 18kt pink gold requires special handling, it can crack un expectedly if heated and cooled multiple times.
